I have followed quite a few diets in my life and the latest trend in dieting is those developed by people who have overcome their unhealthy lifestyles and/or overweight.

The advantage of these types of diet programs is that they are developed on the basis of practical experience and that the person behind the diet can relate to your situation. Many laboratory diets are developed by marketers and chemists who have no idea what we (users) have to endure. As a result, the programs of the experiential expert are often easier to sustain and better focused on daily life.
